Derek Brown is a retired law enforcement agent and executive manager, known for his exceptional contributions to the criminal justice system in South Carolina. Derek is married to his wife Marcy, who is an esteemed educator in South Carolina. Their shared commitment to public service extends to their children, as they are proud parents of two young adults who have also pursued careers in law enforcement and education. He graduated from South Carolina State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice/Human Services, laying the foundation for his successful career.

Throughout his professional journey, Derek has continuously demonstrated a deep commitment to justice, public safety, and the well-being of the community. He has held influential roles within the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole & Pardon Services, including Associate Deputy Director for Field Operations and Associate Deputy Director for Paroles, Pardons, and Rehabilitative Services. His leadership and expertise have positively impacted the lives and careers of countless individuals as professionals, as well as those within the criminal justice system. Derek graduated from South Carolina State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice/Human Services, laying the foundation for his successful career.
